which chronicles the history of racial slavery in the United
States and reveals how the presence of African people and
their struggle for freedom transformed America. There are
many questions, at this time, about what James Conner Sr.'s
years as a slave must have been like and especially his father
before him. From this documentary we are provided some hints.
