Arthur was born July 20, 1941, in Marion, South Carolina, the son of James and Arletha Conner.

Arthur attended Marion County Public schools. During High school he was a school bus driver.

Arthur left Marion in June of 1961, heading to New York, where he lived until 1966. Then he moved to Paterson, New Jersey.

Married Earnestine Foxworth on July 17, 1965. They are the proud parents of two children: Michael and Michelle, both residing in Paterson, New Jersey. They are Grand parents as well, a granddaughter, born to Michelle and son-in-law Gerald.

Arthur's favorite past time is cooking, play golf, watching sports, and hunting wild game. In fact, on several Thanksgiving get togethers, Arthur provided some of the meat (rabbit and squirrel) for the family's feast.

Arthur's goal now is to retire shortly and travel, visiting family and enjoy the company of his grand daughter, Sidney.
